One of the richest sources of Lutein and Zeaxanthin in nature is marigold flowers.

- Lutein and zeaxanthin are naturally occurring fat-soluble antioxidant carotenoids widely found in green leafy vegetables and various yellow to orange-colored fruits and flowers. Lutein is also found in significant quantities in the yolk of the egg, and in corn. One of the richest sources of lutein and zeaxanthin in nature is marigold flowers.

- Lutein and zeaxanthin are termed as ?Macular Pigments? as they are most prominent in the Lens and Macula regions of the eye and have been shown to play a prominent role in maintaining eye health. Lutein effectively controls free radical generation and the resulting oxidation damage, through its ability to filter out blue wavelengths of light like ultraviolet rays, which causes damage to the skin and eyes.
