This study has analyzed rigorously inter-sectoral relationships between industry and agriculture in Uttar Pradesh over a period of around 30 years (1960?92). Some of the important issues that have been dealt with include acceleration in the State economy and the two sectors, structural change, inter sectoral terms of trade, sectoral linkages, etc. other features of the book are use of sound methodology, relevant statistical tools and comprehensive survey of relevant literature in the field. The study has come out with significant results like the sign of acceleration in the economy, increased level of inter-relationship between agriculture and industry, significant bearing of sectoral terms of trade on the pace of industrialization, etc.
