Technical specification for the supply of Galvanizing Plant for Hot Deep Coating of structural Members of Transmission Towers

I.     Objective

The objective of this project is to create an in house capacity in the galvanizing of transmission tower members cold formed from structural steels in general and angle iron and plates in particular. Accordingly, the supplier will design, manufacture, supply, erect, commission and train local personnel on a turnkey basis.

II.     Plant Capacity

Plant capacity: 12, 000 tons per year on the basis of 300 working days and 3 shift operation)

III.     Product Mix and Raw material:

The product mix shall be composed of angles varying between a minimum of (20x20x3) mm to a maximum of (200x200x20) mm in size. The length shall depend on the design of the structural member, but a limiting standard length of 6000 mm shall be taken for sizing the dimension of the galvanizing pot and allied pre and post galvanizing treatment operations. Steel plate with (3-20) mm of thickness shall also be galvanized in the same facility.
