Working mechanisms of the Crane are equipped with individual driving gear: the winch and swing mechanism – with hydraulic motors; the boom elevation and boom extend mechanism - with hydraulic cylinders; section lift and extend – with rope sheave blocks. The hydraulic motors and hydraulic cylinders are actuated by hydraulic fluid (oil) which is delivered by the pump. The pump is set in motion by the cardan shaft from a box of a power takeoff or from the junction box (for cranes on chassis ashok leyland). When the power takeoff is on, the pump draws the hydraulic fluid from the reservoir delivering it to the hydraulic cylinders in outriggers, suspension interlock mechanism, and, via the rotation coupling, to the winch hydraulic motors and swing mechanism, as well as to the boom elevation and extend hydraulic cylinders (depending on the position of the three-position Crane). Hydraulic fluid, when delivered to the hydraulic motors, actuates the gears and the drum, thus effecting lifting of the load or Crane rotation. The winch and the rotation mechanism have brakes which are released when the hydraulic fluid is supplied to the hydraulic motors.
