Basic cotton yarn is available in carded (10s to 40s count) & in Combed (10s to 100s count) for both weaving & knitting applications. Apart from the basic cotton yarns , specialty cotton yarn like mÃ©lange, dyed yarns, gassed & mercerized yarns are available for high end applications.
Yarns made out of polyester fibres possess high resistance to chemicals and micro organisms. Fabrics made from these yarns exhibit good washing and light fastness but are poor sweat absorbents. Polyester yarns are available in count range from 10s till 60s in single yarns, from 10s till 80s in double and multiple ply yarns & are used in weaving, sewing threads and carpeting applications.
