Sri Dinanth D. Dalal (1916-1971) has been one of the most widely liked and respected artists on the art and literary scene of Maharashtra, India and always loved company of people – especially writers and artists. All would jump for the Deepavali number and any other book with a “Dalal book cover”. Such was their divine pleasure. With this background, images of late Sri Dalal’s two masterpieces, viz. “Kam” and “Fisher women” have been attempted by me ( oil on canvas) from the original paintings appearing in the book “D.D.Dalal : a brush with beauty “ published by the Dinanath Dalal Memorial Committee, Mumbai and images of these two paintings are shown here after obtaining their due permission. The images appearing here are not for sale as these have been created and exhibited by me as a mark of respect and tribute to the legendary Artist”.
